Shandon Park Golf Club is a gem of a parkland golf course, situated in the leafy suburbs of East Belfast just fifteen minutes (3 miles) from Belfast city centre. Consistently regarded as one of the most competitively successful golf clubs of the modern era having won no fewer than 13 All Ireland Senior titles and back to back European Club titles in 2000 and 2001, Shandon Park Golf Club is also considered to have some of the best parkland greens in Ireland. Rathdowney Golf Club is a beautiful parkland golf course set in the south western corner of Co. Laois. Established in 1930 it covers 104 acres of countryside and offers a very pleasant round of golf. In 1997 the course was extended to 18 holes, using the advice of renowned golf course designer Pat Ruddy, and now offers a new challenge to all who play it. In recent years a new clubhouse was opened offering modern facilities and services. Today the course is of a matured state, with challenging holes and fairways.
